Training Courses
MLC provides practical training for UK livestock producers in the selection of live animals to meet buyer requirements and also to those working in an abattoir who need to develop carcase assessment/classification skills.
Selection for Slaughter Technical
Training Courses
We offer specialised courses aimed at improving the selection process of live animals for slaughter. These courses are designed to align with buyer specifications, thereby maximising producer returns. Our training is available directly through abattoirs for their customers or via devolved bodies such as AHDB, QMS, and HCC. Previously part of the AHDB Beef and Lamb ‘Better Returns’ programme, our “Live to Dead” courses have been instrumental in educating livestock producers at abattoirs.
Abattoir Classification Training
MLC provides tailored training programmes in carcase assessment and classification to meet EU standards. These programmes are available both in the UK and internationally, catering to individual and team needs. Our expertise extends beyond local borders, having offered services to the Romanian government to establish a beef carcase classification system compliant with EU requirements.
