MLC News: Welcoming Our New Head of Operations – Steve Peaty

In early September, MLC launched an internal recruitment process to appoint a new Head of Operations, ahead of Steve Hamilton’s planned retirement at the end of November. The role attracted strong interest and high-quality applications from colleagues across both MLC and HallMark, reflecting the talent and ambition within our teams.

After a thorough selection process, we’re delighted to announce that Steve Peaty has been appointed Head of Operations for MLC, effective 1st November 2025. This role will also include responsibility for Health and Safety across the Vorenta Group.

To ensure a smooth handover, Steve Hamilton and Steve Peaty will be working closely together from 1st to 25th November, before Steve Hamilton officially retires.

Steve Peaty truly impressed the panel with his industry expertise, leadership, technical insight, and forward-thinking approach. Having joined the business in 1997 as a Carcase Service Officer, Steve has grown through the organisation, contributing significantly to MLC’s reputation for excellence, collaboration, and integrity.
